Fire/EMS Threat Liaison Officer (TLO) 4-Hour Basic Course: December 2, 2020

Description:

As firefighters and/or EMS personnel, you have a unique potential to observe criminal and or terroristic acts/behaviors. On a daily basis, you are invited in to residences and places of business in your normal course of work. Having an understanding of the current threat and intelligence landscape can provide you with the background to report on the missing link in the chain of a crime.

The mission of the Threat Liaison Officer (TLO) Program is to increase local, statewide, and regional intelligence sharing. The TLO Program encourages reporting of potential threats for the purpose of timely analysis and dissemination in order to counter multi-jurisdictional crime and terrorism. Fire/EMS personnel will receive approximately 4 hours of counterterrorism and intelligence training. The TLO Program is designed to broaden threat awareness, increase information sharing and better understand NH Information and Analysis Center (NHIAC) capabilities and resources available to all first responder agencies.

Fire/EMS TLOs serve as points of contact for the NHIAC, assist personnel within their agency with threat awareness and thereby enhance situational awareness for all.

*Upon completing this course registration, you will receive an email from NH Homeland Security & Emergency Management < nheoc@dos.nh.gov > with more information.*
