Warm Zone EMS Grant Application FAQs

Can I change my answers/information after submitting the application?

Please make every effort to ensure your application is complete and accurate when you submit it. If you must change an answer, please contact your HSEM Field Representative. Depending on what information is being changed, you may be required to resubmit your application online.

Can I purchase equipment before applying for the grant?

No. You will receive notification from the Grants Management Unit (GMU) when you can purchase equipment. Purchasing equipment before your grant is approved will forfeit your eligibility.

Can you mail me an application?

In an effort to streamline applications and to ensure submitted applications are complete, please apply for the grant using the online application.

How do I attach quotes to this grant application?

Quotes are not required to be submitted as part of the application, however they may be required later during the grant approval process.

Is there a designated vendor to purchase equipment from?

No. Eligible equipment must be listed in the document titled “EMS in the Warm Zone Active Shooter Best Practice Guide” as published by the NH Bureau of EMS. That document can be downloaded using this link:

What is the grant match?

HSGP is a 100% funded grant. There is no match.

What is the maximum grant award?

Each grant shall not exceed $6,000.00. Funds will be reimbursed upon completion of the project and after submitting all proper documentation.

Who is eligible to apply for this grant?

Eligible entities include municipalities, municipal fire departments, municipal police departments, municipal EMS agencies, municipal emergency management agencies, and private EMS agencies with an active 911 contract. Be aware, that only one application from a municipality will be accepted – for example, if a police department applies for this grant, the fire department may not submit a separate application.
